Medical Disclaimer
IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ THIS DISCLAIMER CAREFULLY BEFORE USING VITALIQ
This Medical Disclaimer applies to all services, features, content, and information provided through the Vital IQ mobile application, website, and any related platforms (collectively, the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Medical Disclaimer.
1. Vital IQ Is Not a Healthcare Provider
Vital IQ is a health and wellness analytics platform. Vital IQ is not a physician, medical professional, hospital, clinic, healthcare provider, or licensed healthcare facility. We do not hold ourselves out as providing medical services of any kind.
No doctor-patient relationship, therapist-patient relationship, or any other healthcare provider-patient relationship is created between you and Vital IQ by your use of the Service. Nothing in the Service should be construed as creating such a relationship.
Vital IQ does not employ or contract with physicians, nurses, or other licensed healthcare professionals to provide medical care to users. Any information, insights, scores, or recommendations generated by the Service are produced by artificial intelligence systems and deterministic algorithms — not by medical professionals.
2. Not Medical Advice
The Service is intended for general health and wellness informational purposes only. All information, content, insights, interpretations, scores, recommendations, and any other output provided through the Service — whether generated by artificial intelligence, algorithms, or otherwise — is provided for informational and educational purposes only.
The Service is not intended to:
- Diagnose any disease, condition, or health problem
- Treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition
- Replace professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment
- Serve as a substitute for consultation with a qualified healthcare provider
- Provide clinical decision support for medical professionals
- Constitute a medical opinion or clinical recommendation
You should never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking medical treatment because of information you have received through the Service.
3. AI-Generated Insights and Limitations
Vital IQ uses artificial intelligence systems, including large language models, to process and interpret health-related data you provide. You should understand the following about AI-generated content:
AI systems can make errors. Artificial intelligence, including the models used by Vital IQ, can produce inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, or incorrect output. AI-generated interpretations should never be treated as definitive medical conclusions.
AI lacks clinical context. While Vital IQ incorporates the health information you provide (such as medications, conditions, and wearable data) into its analysis, AI systems cannot perform a physical examination, review your complete medical history, or account for all factors that a qualified healthcare provider would consider.
AI models are not infallible. The AI systems powering Vital IQ may not reflect the most current medical research, may not account for rare conditions or unusual presentations, and may produce results that differ from what your healthcare provider would conclude.
All AI-generated content should be discussed with your healthcare provider before making any decisions about your health, medications, supplements, diet, exercise, or lifestyle.
4. Lab Report Analysis
Vital IQ allows you to upload laboratory test results for AI-powered analysis and interpretation. Regarding this feature:
- Vital IQ does not order, collect, process, or perform laboratory tests
- Vital IQ does not operate a clinical laboratory
- Biomarker reference ranges used by Vital IQ may differ from those used by your laboratory, as reference ranges can vary by laboratory methodology, population, age, sex, and other factors
- The interpretation of lab results provided by Vital IQ is informational only and does not constitute a clinical interpretation by a licensed professional
- Always consult with the healthcare provider who ordered your lab tests for the authoritative clinical interpretation of your results
- Lab report data is not an electronic health record (EHR) or electronic medical record (EMR) for any purpose, including for purposes of compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (“HIPAA”)
5. Biological Age Calculations
Vital IQ calculates estimated biological age using published algorithms (including PhenoAge, Klemera-Doubal Method, and Homeostatic Dysregulation). These calculations:
- Are mathematical estimates based on specific biomarker inputs and statistical models derived from population-level research
- Do not constitute a medical diagnosis or clinical assessment of your aging, health status, or life expectancy
- May vary significantly based on the biomarkers available, the timing of your blood draw, temporary health conditions, and other factors
- Should not be used to make medical decisions about your care
- Are provided for informational and motivational purposes as part of your wellness journey
6. Health Score and Projections
Health scores, projected health scores, trend analyses, velocity alerts, and similar metrics generated by the Service are:
- Derived from algorithms and AI interpretation of user-provided data
- Not clinical assessments or medical diagnoses
- Subject to change as new data is provided or algorithms are updated
- Intended to help you track general wellness trends, not to replace clinical monitoring by your healthcare provider
7. AI Health Companion
Vital IQ includes an AI-powered health companion chat feature. The AI Health Companion:
- Is not a medical professional, therapist, counselor, or healthcare provider
- Does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations
- Cannot assess your health condition through conversation
- May produce responses that are inaccurate, incomplete, or not applicable to your specific situation
- Should never be relied upon for urgent or emergency health decisions
- Is powered by artificial intelligence language models and has the same limitations described in Section 3 above
If you are seeking medical advice, please consult a qualified healthcare provider.
8. Medications, Supplements, and Interactions
Vital IQ provides features related to medication tracking, supplement management, drug interaction checking, and related information. Regarding these features:
- Drug and supplement information is sourced from publicly available databases, including the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s OpenFDA database, and parsed by AI systems
- Interaction checks are informational only and may not identify all possible interactions
- Vital IQ’s medication information may not reflect the most current prescribing information, drug recalls, or safety communications
- Never start, stop, change the dosage of, or otherwise alter any medication or supplement regimen based on information from Vital IQ without first consulting your prescribing healthcare provider or pharmacist
- Vital IQ does not verify the accuracy of medication information you enter and is not responsible for errors in user-entered data
9. Wearable Health Data
Vital IQ integrates with wearable devices and health platforms (such as Apple HealthKit and Google Health Connect) to incorporate data including heart rate, heart rate variability, sleep metrics, step counts, and other biometric data. Regarding this data:
- Wearable data accuracy depends on device hardware, sensor quality, wear position, and user physiology — Vital IQ does not verify or guarantee the accuracy of data received from wearable devices
- Correlations and insights generated from wearable data are observational and informational, not clinical
- Wearable health data collected through Vital IQ is wellness data and should not be treated as clinical-grade measurements
- Abnormal readings from wearable devices should be discussed with your healthcare provider, not interpreted solely through Vital IQ
10. Journal and Voice Check-In
Vital IQ’s journal and voice check-in features allow you to log symptoms, moods, and health observations. These features:
- Are personal tracking tools, not clinical symptom assessment instruments
- Do not provide clinical symptom evaluation or triage
- Should not replace reporting symptoms to your healthcare provider
- May use AI to identify patterns and topics in your entries for your personal reference, but these AI-identified patterns are not diagnoses
11. Correlation Insights and Daily Briefings
Vital IQ generates correlation insights and daily health briefings based on your aggregated data. These features:
- Use statistical correlation and AI analysis to identify potential patterns across your health data
- Correlation does not imply causation — an observed association between two data points does not mean one causes the other
- Are intended to surface interesting patterns for discussion with your healthcare provider, not to direct your health decisions independently
- May miss important patterns or identify spurious ones
12. Doctor Visit Preparation
Vital IQ offers features to help you prepare for healthcare provider visits, including summary reports and suggested discussion topics. These features:
- Are designed to supplement, not replace, the clinical judgment of your healthcare provider
- Do not constitute a medical record, referral, or clinical summary
- Should be shared with your healthcare provider as a conversation starter, not as a clinical document
13. Emergency Situations
Vital IQ is not designed or equipped to handle medical emergencies.
If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 (or your local emergency number) immediately. Do not use Vital IQ to assess, triage, or respond to a medical emergency. Do not delay seeking emergency medical care because of anything you have seen or read on Vital IQ.
If you believe you or someone else may be in danger, contact emergency services immediately.

Vital IQ does not knowingly collect or process health information from individuals under 18 years of age. If we become aware that we have collected information from an individual under 18, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
16. Not a Medical Device
Vital IQ is a general wellness product. Vital IQ is not a medical device as defined by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) or any comparable regulatory authority. The Service has not been cleared, approved, or authorized by the FDA or any other regulatory body for use as a medical device or for any medical purpose.
Vital IQ is not intended to be used in the diagnosis of disease or other conditions, or in the cure, mitigation, treatment, or prevention of disease, as those terms are defined by the FDA.
17. Professional Judgment
No technology, algorithm, or AI system can replace the professional judgment of a qualified healthcare provider who knows you, your medical history, your family history, and your complete clinical picture.
Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified healthcare provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition, medication, supplement, diet, exercise program, or any other aspect of your health. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay in seeking it because of something you have read, heard, or received through Vital IQ.
18. No Warranties on Health Outcomes
Vital IQ makes no representations or warranties, express or implied, regarding any health outcomes that may or may not result from your use of the Service. Your health outcomes depend on many factors outside Vital IQ’s knowledge or control, including your genetics, medical history, lifestyle, adherence to your healthcare provider’s recommendations, and factors unknown to both you and Vital IQ.
19. Indemnification and Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Vital IQ, its affiliates, officers, members, employees, agents, and service providers shall not be liable for any injury, harm, damage, or adverse health outcome arising from or related to your use of or reliance on any information, content, insights, scores, recommendations, or other output provided through the Service.
Your use of any information provided through the Service is solely at your own risk. For the avoidance of doubt, this limitation applies to all content generated by artificial intelligence, algorithms, and any other automated systems used by the Service.
